PASSIONATE PRAISE AND WORSHIP

No matter what style of music you prefer I think we would all agree that whatever style is used it should be passionate.   How can a passionless people worship a passionate God?  His passion should fuel our passion.  However, that does not mean that everyone has to do the same expression of worship but it does demand that everyone is engaged in worship.   Some will shout, dance, jump, and wave banners.  Others will bow, kneel, lay, or stand.  Many will clap or raise their hands.  The point isn’t the expression it is the engagement of God through expression.

PREACHING AND TEACHING OF GOD'S WORD

One study of the book of Acts will demonstrate the value of the word of God being preached.   Peter preached and 3,000 were saved.  Paul preached and the bible records that God confirmed the preaching of the word with signs and wonders.   Very rarely will our services not include a message from the Word of God.

PRAYER AND MINISTRY

When we come together their is prayer for our corporate body, our city, and there is always time for those who need prayer.  If you are in the service and need prayer you need not wait till the end of the service.  Pastors, Elders and Deacons are available even through the praise and worship time for the individual in need of prayer.

PRESENCE OF GOD

Without the presence of God the Promised Land was just another land. Likewise, a church without the presence of God is just another club or organization.   His presence should lead us, guide us, convict us, and permeate this house with His atmosphere.  We seek to welcome and host His presence. Because of His presence and leading the gifts of the Spirit are expected and welcomed.   It is not the music, lighting, or anything other external thing that attracts the presence of God; it is open hearts, passionate praise, and a total hungering after God.  You and I are the attraction of the presence of God.

PLEASURE

By the word pleasure simply mean joy.   One of the greatest compliments I’ve received about our church is that there is a spirit of joy in the house.   There should be.  The Bible declares:   “In His presence is fullness of joy.”  We take joy in Him, He takes joy in us, and we take joy in each other.
